On Eid al-Adha holidays, Bali airport serves 20 thousand domestic passengers

The movement of passengers on domestic flights served at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, has recorded an increase of up to 20 thousand people during the Eid al-Adha holiday period from 30 July to 3 August.

"During the long holiday period of Eid al-Adha, the movement of domestic passengers was recorded at 20,787 passengers consisting of passengers arriving and departing Bali," said Communication and Legal Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Branch Office, Bali, Andanina Dyah Permata Megasari, in Badung, Bali, Tuesday.

He said that if you look at the passenger records, the average passenger movement during the Eid al-Adha 2020 holiday, both domestic arrivals and departures, reaches 4 thousand passengers every day.

His side also noted that the movement of aircraft carrying passengers on domestic routes during that period reached 321 flights consisting of arrivals and departures.

"The average flight movement per day during that period reached 60 flights . For this domestic route, the Jakarta route is still dominated by flights from Soekarno Hatta Airport and Halim Perdanakusuma-Denpasar PP, Surabaya-Denpasar PP and a number of other big cities," he said. Andanina.

Previously, during the 26-30 July 2020 period, the manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, recorded that they had served 17,757 passengers on domestic routes who were transported via 278 flights.

This record grew by 17 percent for the number of passengers and eight percent for domestic routes served at the airport when compared to the previous week in the period 19-23 July 2020 with a record of 15,153 passengers and 256 flights served.
