TRIBUN-BALI.COM, TABANAN - Socialization of the megaproject construction of the Mengwi-Gilimanuk Toll Road to affected communities will continue starting Monday, October 25, 2021, today.

The previous socialization had to be postponed due to the implementation of the Java-Bali PPKM.

Most , the megaproject, which will cross three districts in Bali, recently has undergone a number of changes.

Namely, a change in trajectory, causing one village in Marga Sub-district to be affected by the project in a number of areas.

There are also additional affected villages in District Tabanan .

According to data, in Marga District there are still four affected villages including Selanbawak Village, Tegal Jadi Village, Marga Village, and Dauh Puri Marga Village.

However, if previously the toll road passed through Tegal Jadi Village, now it has moved to Kuwum Village.

Meanwhile, in Sub-district Tabanan there were additional affected villages.

Initially, the toll road will pass through three villages, and now it will increase to four villages.

Among them, Wanasari Village, Buahan Village, and Tunjuk Village. The last addition is to pass through Denbantas Village.

"Astungkara has now started to continue. The public has been invited for socialization so that they know the initial explanation regarding the construction of this toll road. Tomorrow (Monday, ed) the first day is planned for the first socialization," explained the Head of Marga Subdistrict, I Gusti Alit Adiatmika when confirmed, Sunday, October 24, 2021.

Alit Adiatmika continued, apart from socialization, there were also a few changes.

Namely, if initially in Marga there was Tegal Jadi Village which was affected by the toll road, but it was canceled. Instead, Kuwum Village is now crossed by the toll road.

Possibly, the change was in accordance with the considerations of the team that carried out the site check.

"Initially, Tegal Jadi Village was affected, but now it has been canceled and has moved to Kuwum Village," he said.

Asked about whether the change in trajectory has caused turmoil in the community, Canat Marga stated that so far there have been no problems.

Because, at the beginning of the news about this toll road, a little turmoil occurred in Selanbawak Village, namely Banjar Selanbawak Kelod for various reasons.

However, now the route has shifted to Banjar Manik Gunung, a local village, so the turmoil has subsided.

"The one in Selanbawak has also moved to Banjar Manim Gunung. So far there has been no turmoil due to the change. Hopefully it will run smoothly," he said.

With socialization, he said, the government is expected to help provide an understanding of the affected communities.

Also, the project does not become a burden even though their land is affected.

Meanwhile, Head of the Regional Secretariat of Governance Tabanan , I Wayan Sudarya, stated that the socialization process for the construction of the Mengwi-Gilimanuk Toll Road was indeed continued from October 25, 2021.

The community in Marga Sub-district will receive the first socialization, then proceed with socialization to Tabanan District.

For the Marga and sub-districts Tabanan , hundreds of affected residents have been given invitation letters. The community in Marga Sub-district will receive socialization on Monday, October 25, 2021, and it will be continued in Tabahan Sub-district which will take place on October 26 and 27.

Sudarya explained that the implementation of the socialization was aimed at making the public have a clear understanding and picture of this central government program.

This includes synchronizing or initial data collection on land parcel data issued by the National Land Agency (BPN) with certificates belonging to residents.

The implementation is the same as socialization in other sub-districts in Tabanan .

"Hopefully, with this socialization, the affected people will understand and the process will run smoothly," he hoped.

Previously, the socialization plan in Sub-districts was Tabanan and Marga due to the Gilimanuk-Mengwi toll road project that passes through Tabanan, which is still experiencing a shift in the trajectory or route, namely in Wanasari Village.

For this reason, Tabanan and Marga Sub-districts will follow the socialization and initial data collection.
